Selecting A Deer Stand

With four rowdy boys, selecting a deer stand isn’t as easy you might think. Chances are, if one of my boys wants to go with me, so will the other three. Between having enough room to move around, being sturdy and sound proof, I have to be pretty picky when selecting a deer stand.

One of the best stands I have found is a company called Antler Shed Deer Stands. They have multiple stand options and several features that I think are crucial. First, the interior features commercial grade indoor outdoor carpet which is laminated to the inside of the sheet metal with an exterior grade glue. This helps with sound proofing the stands which is ideal for my rowdy boys. Second, the windows are made of Plexiglass which will not freeze and gives me a 360-degree view. Third, the shelving allows you to have a place to set things or even just prop your elbow to stabilize the shot. Lastly, the exterior door has a lock which is very handy for us so we don’t have to worry about our things getting stolen. I’ve always thought it was a good way to keep honest people honest…

The folks at Antler Shed have a big variety of deer stands and they do a great job. All in all, 14 Antler Shed deer stands later, I highly recommend Antler Shed Deer Blinds. With a variety of options to choose from, I don’t think you can go wrong. The company as a whole is easy to work with and exceptionally good people.
